This tip relates to the Hewlett Packard P3005 Series Printer - General reference to most HP Laser Printers There have been many reports of this error in the HP genre of laser printer. This is a generic fatal error; the root cause is undetermined in most cases. It could be related to an application "corrupt data" or faulty printer firmware, or the formatter board or other associated hardware or accessory. The first step in troubleshooting this error is to isolate the printer from any computer source - disconnect from any I/O ports, Network/USB etc... Power cycle the printer. Does the error still report? If NO then an application may be causing the error, try to isolate the file causing the problem. Clear any pending print jobs.
