try changing the needle, make sure the top thread has not come off the take up lever, also check to see if the feed dogs are in the up position, so the machine can sew.
Usually, there is a thread guide (picture of how to thread it) on the inside flap when you open it. You can also search online for the manual. Be sure to spell it "manual". Good luck!
