You need the S.F. Edit mode [Scale Factor]
Press Menu/NO ... edit menu appears
Turn AMS wheel until S.F. edit appears press 'yes'
Turn AMS wheel until 'Tr Level appears press 'yes'
Turn AMS wheel until the track number you want to change appears ... press 'yes'
You can now adjust the level with the AMS wheel
Press 'yes' 'SF Edit OK?' appears ... press 'yes' ... the deck starts to record over the existing track 'SF Edit appears ... when finished 'complete' appears.

Hi folks :-) I'm affraid that we have started up wrong, but I hope we can fix it ! Problem: A band, we've made a que-track (everybody's playing and singing at the same time) now we've...

Real musicians do change tempo throughout a song, so its not necessarily a bad thing. As long as you like the sound it doesn't matter if you don't stick rigidly to a fixed tempo. Unfortunately you won't be able to fix the tempo after the initial recording so you'll have to live with it or re-record. If you need a click track to record along to, try recording yourself hitting drum stick together along to the already recorded track. As a human you can track small tempo changes much easier than a computer. If you need to create a count in, just copy and paste a section of this click track to the start of the track. I hope this makes sense!

How do I play DVD on the BlueRay player?

According to the Vizio website, your VBR231 CAN play DVDs the same way a lot of Blu-Ray players can. The site blurb suggests the VBR231 is backwards compatible - which means your player should be able to play DVDs as well as Blu-Ray. Generally, most Blu-ray players can play DVDs if they are backwards compatible with them.

I do know Blu-Ray discs will NOT work in most standalone DVD decks.

MODEL NUMBER: VBR231

*Model Features:
* Full HD 1080p Video Playback
* Integrated Dual Band Wi-Fi - 802.11n
* 7.1 Digital Audio Output
* Backwards Compatible (see below)

*Compatibility:
* Plays Blu-ray and DVDs, Audio CDs, MP3s and Jpegs
* Multi-Channel 7.1 Audio Output via HDMI
* Playback and Enjoy Media via back USB Input (JPEGs and MP3s)

*Outputs:
* HDMI 1.3
* Component Video (YCrCB)
* Composite Video
* Stereo Audio
* Coaxial Audio
* Optical Digital Audio

I hope that helps somewhat.

MANUAL RECORDING FROM COMPUTER HEADPHONE SOCKET.. FIRST RIGHT LEAD REQUIRED YOU NEED STEREO 3.5mm stero jack plug to lef right phono male leads... prepare for manual record place jack in computer headphone socket. check correct socket play track on computer their should be no sound. if sound present in wrong socket... if ok place phono left right into analogue aux inputs on cdr recorder.next make shure you have blank scratch free cd .next press ext(ernal) source repeatedly until the required input is selected i.e digital analogue optical etc..when auto track is on the disk will number automatically.with auto track on it their needs to be 2.7 second gap to rec number change. with the recorder stopped press rec type five times to enter in the manual record standby mode. manual start s to flash and the display shows REC EXT MAN followed by WAIT.after a few seconds press record . play the source track ie on your computer to set record level on cd recorder.. adjust audio card settings or volume control on pc etc .rotate easy jog/enter key until on the record /play level bar all the blue led are alight but not the red( clipping) display shows xx decibel eg 3bd. stop the source material (track on computer get ready to record ii.e to start track again..to start recording set you track going wilst pressing RECORD on the cd recorder, and immediatley the source material playing. the track number and recording time left appear in display . if check input message is displayed check the connections are correct etc .to stop recording press stop on cd recorder . update lights up and arrow goes out. after recording display will show UPDATE FOR SEVERAL SECONDS WRITTING TOC.. Tascam 788

The 788 can be used to play music from a SCSI attached CD-RW drive, but the record (and all other mixing functions) are disabled so you are not able to record the CD output onto a track using the SCSI attached drive.

Your options are:

1.) Rip tracks files from the CD onto you PC as wav files. You'll have rip (or later convert) those files to mono 16 or 24 bit wav files at 44.1kHz, use the old dos 8.3 naming convention for the filenames, and them burn them onto a CD-R or CD-RW as data files which can then be taken and imported into the 788.

2.) Play the CD through with an external CD player or stereo and route the output into an input on the 788. Assign the input to a track and record. Be careful to use a line level output, like an aux out (or try the CD player's outputs directly into the 788) if you are using a stereo. Avoid using a speaker output as the signal from a speaker output will be too strong and can damage the 788.

Hope this helps.

Cheers.

No sound in playback (but can hear click track)

This might seem simple, but just to check: you have switched off the monitor on the track when you go to playback? With track monitor engaged, you will not hear playback, but will continue to hear the live monitor.
