CAUSE: The problem may be your email client or the way the powerpoint is being attached to the email. Have the sender send the file in a zipped folder. (winzip or winrar software works great)

Question: Are you using Outlook? Yahoo Mail? Hotmail? Outlook Express? Thunderbird?

FIX: Save the attachment to a location on your computer first... then open it from that location and not directly from the email.

FYI: Security Updates for Microsoft Software have created rules to keep people from sending attachments that could have viruses.

I try to connect my wirelles presenter to my mac book pro and the keyboard stop working (it only works when the presenter is unplugged). What can I do?

you need to sync the device, by push the buttons at the same time and rebooting after each syncing of the device.
in order to sync push the button on the transmitter and the device you want to sync, hold for a few seconds, than reboot
than due the same for the other device, reboot
go into windows open control panel, set the mouse up the way you want, right or lift handed, speed, visibility, pointer type, go to hardware select properties, open fold make sure the deivers are up to date, reboot system

Probably your keyboard is set for a different language. Follow the instructions.
1. Open control panel.
2. Open 'Regional and Language Options'.
3. Select the second tab "Languages' and click Detail button.

4. See whether 'English (United States)' is present in the lower box. If you don't have it, click 'Add' button to add it to the list.
5. Select 'English (United States) - US' from top combo box.

I have replaced batteries on the optical mouse 3000 (microsoft) but it still does not turn on. Usually the red light underneath, came on, when i installed new batteries, now that is even gone! Help

Try to connect the receiver to a different port. Then, check the behavior of the device. By trying the receiver on a different port, you can eliminate any issues that affect the port itself.

Also, try to connect the receiver to a USB port on the back of the computer. The ports that are located on the back of the computer typically have more bandwidth (power) available. Note Bypass any port replicators, USB hubs, KVM switches, and so on. Connect the receiver directly to the port. A port replicator is a device that contains common ports, such as serial and parallel ports. The replicator plugs into a portable computer. A KVM switch is a hardware device that enables a single keyboard, video monitor, and pointing device to control more than one computer one at a time. If this is the source of the problem, and you want to continue using one of these devices, contact the manufacturer of that device to see whether there is a solution or a newer product that will work with your wireless mouse.Be aware that items such as desktop fans, metal furniture, and fluorescent lights may interfere with the signal from the pointing device. Try to test the device in a different location.

If the issue continues to occur, test the mouse on a different computer in a different environment. If you can replicate the problem in a different environment, you may have a defective device. If this is the case, see the "More Information" section for information about how to contact Microsoft Supplemental Parts to obtain a replacement device.

The Mousinfo diagnostic tool is installed together with the IntelliPoint software. If you do not have this software, you cannot open the tool.

Can you please tellme how to disable the touchpad so may use a mouse?

I am sorry, it seems you've closed the chat window, and I have no other way to contact you and get back to you. Anyway I wish you good luck.
Here's the steps again..

Click "Start" go to "Control Panel" and open "Mouse Properties" then "TouchPad" and disable it.. There must be several options to disable or enable, the best is to select "Disable Touch Pad when USB Pointing device is present" so that it'll not be necessary to manually re-enable it from the Control panel..

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

''r'' keyboard problem.

That is a strange one indeed, it only points to the conclusion that the key is damaged when pressed down, so it does not read.

Have you installed the software for the mouse and keyboard? I don't know if it would make any difference at all but it is worth a try.

MS Wireless Desktop set - KB and Mouse

Well this problem has nothing to do with your Operating System. This has everything to do with your System Bios.

Basically, the first thing you need to determine is "Is it USB or PS2?"

If it's USB:
1) Is it installed in a USB Hub? It might not have enough power, try a different USB port.
2) Go into the system bios. Look for an option that says "Enable USB Support" make sure it's enabled.

If it's PS2:
1) The connection might be lose, turn the computer off, unplug it, plug it back in.
2) Try a different PS2 Keyboard, same problem? Your PS2 ports are failing, buy a USB Keyboard.
