The Resolution can be changed in Windows XP by minimizing all applications, right clicking on the desktop, selecting Properties. In the Display Settings window go to the Settings tab. Here you can change the resolution. I think you are wanting to use a widescreen setup so going for a resolution of 1280x800 should fill your screen. Play around with the available settings to resize the screen.

If you are using MS Vista, you need to minimize all applications to the desktop, right click, select Personalize. In the Personalize Window click on Display Settings down the bottom, modify the resolution as appropriate.

Alternatively, you may be able to find the function key that did this to your resolution. Above your F1-F12 keys there should be a little picture. If you click on the [fn] key (near the Windows key) as well as one of the F1-F12 keys you can cause different functions to be performed. This may be how the resolution changed initially.

Good luck

Right click on your desktop and click screen resolution. Increase your resolution. If you are not able to then you need to download your display driver. Search for device manager and go down to your display. If it has a broken or missing driver then go to hps website download and install the driver.

Hi, Have a Kyocera KM4050 copier/scanner/printer with a touch screen. The touch screen is out of alignment (i.e. where you point does not align with what is sensed by the touch screen) and needs...

First you have to get into the maintenance mode. It is important once in there you don't make any changes other than the one I tell you or you could damage the machine.

To get into maintenance mode do the following:

Press the STATUS KEY

With the numeric key pad key in 10871087 (if done correctly the display will change and say ENTER MAINTENANCE ITEM)

Enter 201 with the numeric key pad (follow the steps below):

1. Press the start key.

2. Select the [INITIALIZE].

3. Press the start key.

4. Press the center of the + keys. Be sure to press three + keys displayed in order. The touch panel is adjusted automatically.

5. Press the indicated three + keys, and then check the display.

6. Press the stop key. The screen for selecting a maintenance item No. is displayed.

Completion
Press the stop key. The screen for selecting a maintenance item No. is displayed.

Now to exit maintenance mode key in 001 with the numeric key pad

Press the Start Key ( you should be back to the status screen, press copy key to go back to the copy mode)

Remember do not go to any other maintenance mode or make any other changes.

Hi, i can't shrink or expand or close my windows and when a dialogue box pops up the "yes, no, cancel cannot be seen. i'm running vista 32 bit can u help me?

Try pressing the alt key with the space key
This should open the system menu for the current program.
It has options like Minimise Maximise and Close.

It sounds like you some how have opened a window that is way biger than your screen can display so the controls you want are off the screen.

You might want to check your screen resolution.

Hope this helps

Screen will not function. No video at all.

here's what you can do.
it might be blank due to the togle feature so try this

***'Monitor Toggle Features (Converting the Screen Using the Shortcut Key) If you have an external monitor connected to the computer, press Fn + F7 keys to rotate the display mode between LCD only, Monitor only, and LCD + Monitor both in order.'***
as long as you hold Fn and press F7 these mode's will change in order respectively.
if the issue was due to the inappropriate display mode it can be fixed by toggling.

since your display is totally blank... you need to find out weather it is the screen or the video card in the notebook. either ways if hardware is faulty your guarantee should cover it.

In case, you are looking for Manual in English you can find it by googling up your Notebook model number.

If the issue were with the display adpters or drivers then you can fix them by connecting and toggling to external monitor.

The computer screen shrinked

Hi,

If you have Vista, try going to Control Panel and clicking Personalization, then Display Settings, and slide the Resolution bar up a bit.
If you have XP, you can right click on the Desktop, click Properties and change the Resolution in there.

Hope this helps!

hi there, Below the monitor, on the center are option button, you can explore that in adjusting your screen display. You can widen the display, or tweak it depending on the angle that you need to. Just press the center button and choose from the menu.
