When the battery gets old it will not accept a charge
Replace the battery is all you need to do. They do not last forever as most people think. They are found on Ebay at the cheapest cost

SOURCE: My computer isnt recognizing that

Sounds like one of two things. Either you have a bad cord or the motherboard connection that facilitates charging is bad. The easiest way to determine this is to pick up a new cord and test it out. I recommend grabbing a Targus Universal Charger from Staples. The reason being, that if it doesn't work they have a very nice 14 day return policy without a restocking fee. If it doesn't work, you know you have a bad connection on your motherboard and proceed from there, which means bringing it to a reputable retailer for service.

How can I retrieve contact numbers from my fone that has discharged and wont charge

My phone died and now won't power on or charge. Here's how to fix it. Did your mobile phones battery drain all the way to zero and now your device is completely dead, not powering on or not even letting you charge it? This article will go through some tips on how you might be able to revive your dead phone.
If your cell phone is a smartphone then this is a reasonably common issue. It used to be a general practice to run older batteries to zero battery life before charging them back up to full again but try not to do that on the new smart phones, they use lithium-ion batteries which discharging 100% is a major concern and isn't good for the health of the battery.

If your battery has drained to zero and now the phone won't respond then try this

Pull the battery Start out by pulling the battery out of the phone for a few minutes then put the battery back into the phone, put the phone all back together and then plug it into your ORIGINAL charger that came with the phone. Make sure that you use the original charger that came with the phone. If you don't have the original charger then make sure that your charger is a manufacturer approved charger. If your battery is built into the phone and you cannot remove the battery from your smartphone then try to perform a simulated battery pull. Many phones have a method to restart the device, usually by holding down specific buttons or keys on the device. Much like the Motorola Atrix HD simulated battery pull or the Sony Experia simulated battery pull where you hold the volume down key and power key simultaneously while the phone is powered off.
Check the outlet Sometimes we can be too close to an issue and can overlook something as simple as a wall outlet attached to a light switch that's turned off. If the light switch is designed for turning off and on a light and the switch is off then there is no power coming from the outlet and obviously your device isn't going to charge.
Try a different outlet This can go hand in hand with the above suggestion. Try a different outlet to make sure it's not a power socket issue.
Try using a computer or car charger Using a computer or car charger instead of a wall charger can sometimes put a quick charge on your battery and get it to respond as well. Keep charging it If you have tried these methods and your phone isn't responsive due to its battery being drained 100% then it can be difficult to get your phone to charge again. Try charging it for at LEAST a couple hours on an outlet you know to be working, even all night if possible. Lithium ion batteries can take a while to get to charge again if drained all the way. So try charging it for a while, You might need a new battery If you try these tips and suggestions or have tried all these things already and there is still no response, and your phone is completely dead and will not recognize a charger then you might need to try another battery.
Try a different charger If you have tried a different battery then make sure you try your original charger first, as mentioned above. If there is no response then it might not be your battery but your charger that has malfunctioned and might need replacing. If you have any spare chargers try those to see if you can get a charge out of your phone. Replace the device If you have tried a different battery and a different charger and your phone is still little more than a paper weight then you should start reviewing your phone replacement

HP 8710p says "plugged in,

This means there is either an issue with the charger, outlet, or plug. If you have tried restarting your computer and/or plugging in to different outlets, you may need to get another charger. If another one won't work, you'll have to get the port on your computer replaced. The Geek Squad at Best Buy can do this for a low price.

My SCH-a930 won't charge. I still have battery life, and the phone works fine, but the phone won't charge. I have tried multiple wall outlets. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

Hi,
Please, try using another charger with the phone.
If the problem continues, get a screw driver, unscrew the phone and bring the charging port out. The charging port is at the tail end of the phone.
Clean the surface of the panel where the charging port contact the panel with a spirit and allow it to dry for 30 minute. Couple back the phone and i am sure the charging phone will work fine.

Dsi xl won't charge at all, have tried multiple outlets. Dsi is only one day old

Try using another charger. If that doesn't work, then try exchanging the DSi for another one. The system could be defective.

How do i charge my camera so that i can explore

You can charge the battery in two ways.

Use the supplied battery charger. Remove the battery from the camera, put it into the charger, and plug the charger into a power outlet.

Connect the camera via a USB cord to a powered USB outlet. Be aware that not all computer USB ports put out enough current to charge the battery. You might want to consider a cell phone charger that plugs into a power outlet.

Charger

Your USB port must be repaired. In the meantime, hopefully, your computer has another USB port that you can use. Battery is a replaceable lithium ion rechargeable battery. There are battery chargers that you can connect to wall outlets - the type that plug into the computer would probably require that you plug it into the USB port, which you said is broken - so that's a no-go. There are multiple vendors for battery chargers - one possibility is http://www.greenbatteries.com/
