Question about IBM ThinkPad T43 Notebook
I had my hard drive fail on my IBM T43. when I power up the laptop I get the IBM banner screen and then the screen goes black and in the top left corner it displays:
A disk read error has occured
Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to restart.
When I press Ctrl+Alt+Delete it just does the same thing. It will not read the hard drive. Is there any way to retrieve the data and or settings that were on the hard drive?
I have a ThinkPad T43,
Now it's hard drive is broken so when i change the new hard drive Hitachi 160GB it display the message as below.
Could you help me to terminate this error message.

I try to update firmware of the harddrive but still appear the message the same.

Its still possible to retrieve data by taking the harddisk out and put it in external harddisk frame.Connect that external frame trhough USB on some other PC or Notebook and see you could see information inside.Incase you can't see any information inside then you need to use some other recovery program like Getdataback,Recoverymyfile, etc.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
