How do I program zonig for my Ademco 6148 pad

The 6148 keypad is a fixed english keypad. It is possible to program your system from a fixed english keypad, but it is very difficult. an alpha keypad shows text descriptions of the programming fields. The model number is 6160. If you are doing your own programming, I would suggest replacing the 6148.

When programming, you're programming your alarm panel, not the keypad. The keypad is just an interface to the panel. If you have a tan box in your basement or a closet, that is your panel. There will be a sticker on the inside of the door of the panel that will tell you the model of the panel at the bottom. It will say Ademco Vista 10, 15, 15P, 20, or 20P.

From there you can go to the link below and find the installation and programming manual for your panel.

Hope this helps.

I am unable to access my omnistack 4024c using telnet or through Hyperteminal, how i can reset the switch to its factory settings

  1. You need to connect via a console serial cable with suitable terminal software running.
  2. Power on the switch.
  3. Hit any key when prompted by boot process about 10 seconds after power-up to get to boot/diagnostic menu.
  4. Enter c
  5. Press enter (which accepts the defaults) until line displays: "Boot Flags :0xb"
  6. Enter 0x1000
  7. Press enter until back at the "[Boot]:" prompt
  8. Enter S to save settings (thats a capital S)
  9. Enter @ to boot
The switch should now be back to factory defaults.

Invalid header

You are seeing the "Invalid Header" message on the LCD display on the T2250 because the pritner is in "boot" mode, which is the firmware download mode and is detecting data being recived is not a correct firmware file.
The most likely cause for this problem is the pritner has defaulted to 'Firmware Download Mode" due to a problem with either corruption to the firmware or damaged / faulty EEPROMS. When print jobs are sent to the pritner the pritner is expecting firmware and recognises the data it is reciving is not correct for a firmware file.

The solutions to this problem are;

  1. Power the printer OFF, disconnect the printer from the computer system, and any external print server (eg JetDirect etc). Power the printer back on, if the error is resolved check the method of connecting the printer to the computer system to ensure there is no damage to cables etc.
If the printer displays "BOOT" on the display this indicates the printer is in firmware download mode.
  2. If the display reads BOOT first try reloading the firmware you may find details and firmware on the following web site,
    http://support.dascomeurope.com/index.php?option=com_docman&task=cat_view&gid=123&Itemid=48&lang=en
  3. If loading the firmware fails this indicates a logic board fault, the main logic board would need to be replaced to resolve the issue

I get a blank screen and 4 beeps what's the problem?

Hi,
This could happen when the RAM contact is not proper, may be due to dust. Remove the memory modules from DIMM slot, clean it (no moisture please) and reinsert it. This could mostly solve your issue.
Please come back and rate my solution if it turns helpful for you or also if you need more clarifications. Thnx

try resetting the device first you should slide the Power switch up and hold it for approximately 20 seconds.
then. release the Power switch once the device is powered down.
Turn the device back on.

if that does not work then download and install sansa firmware updater from this link
