I know we are all out to save money and everything, I always like to fix stuff myself. But honestly, I have to say unless you know what you are doing!!
I have been a gas fitter/engineer for many years, it's what i do. I really think you need to get someone to help you here. It's not the sort of thing that you can google a manual for.

Sorry to be blunt, I've had to deal with so many failed DIY attempts that have either cost the owner more money by what they have broken or been downright dangerous. Sorry this rates as more advice than solution.

Older warm morning room heater with glass panels in the front. Propane, thermostat with blower., starting to get large puff when ignites of pilot, what causes that ?

A "large puff" when igniting the pilot of a propane heater can be caused by a dirty or clogged pilot assembly. Clean or replace the pilot assembly to address the issue.

Short cycling

There are a few reasons why your furnace is restarting after it reaches temp. and shuts off. First, if you have a mercury bulb thermostat it needs to be level and the heat anticipator needs set properly. If you have an electronic thermostat then you need to make sure the DIP switch settings inside are set properly for propane. If you have a digital thermostat there are also settings to be made for your type of heating. These settings will be explained in the thermostat installation instructions. Also, Make sure your furnace filter is clean. If this does not help then there are some other things to check which may need to be done by a technician depending on your mechanical aptitude. Hope this helps!
