Guest - you phone needs to be taken to a professional repair store and have the local mode remove...that is a testing mode when unlocking or service the main-board.

akemsl11 - the fuse could be blown on the board for the charging....either buy a new mobile or take it to a repair store close to you to have them service the phone for you.

arkster101 - take the phone to a mobile repair tech and have them service the charging port and fuse on the main- board but i think the board is gone so you should buy a new mobile.

Washing machine fills with water while sitting idle.

Another problem could be the inlet solenoid is failing to close properly, this could be caused by either an obstruction in the sealing part of the solenoid valve, a damaged or worn out seal or if the water pressure is too low. (some solenoids require water pressure to close off properly). To test this idea turn off the taps when not in use. If the water is still filling the tub, the back flow / syphoning idea may be valid. Also just to rule the idea out, turn off the tap to the machine and remove the inlet hose, if the tap "drips" this "trickle" of water maybe the culprit. If turning off the inlet tap fixes the problem you may need to replace the inlet solenoid.

Hi, the problem you are having is going to be one of 2 things, 1st of all plug your phone into the charger and try switching it on whilst its charging, if it comes on then you need a new battery, if it dont come on then this points to the phones software (firmware) been corrupt, this happens if you have been sent a dodgy msg with a virus on it or downloaded something from the net such as a ringtone or video, this is a common problem and all you need to do is take it into any local phone shop and show them the problem and they should be able to reflash the firmware and get the phone working again, they will charge a small fee for this but it should get your phone working again and should solve your problem unless its been damaged due to been dropped or water damage in which case the circuit board would need replacing and this is only worth doing if the phone is insured or on a contract as the cost of repair would be quiet high unless the phone shop had a damaged phone they could swap the boards over in.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

I get protect audio off when I turn it on

Hello,

Usually a protect fault will indicate a bad transistor in the amplification section. I suspect that the control circuit is sensing a fluctuation in the power supply and going in to protect mode. (assuming that the protect circuit itself is working properly) If a voltage is too high the unit will go in to protect mode to prevent damage to the speakers and the rest of the unit. I would take the unit in to a local repair shop and get a estimate of repair charges. Expect a 60 to 80 dollar repair charge depending on how many parts need to be replaced and what the repair labor rate is in your area.
Take care.....

Nokia 1661 slight water damage - test mode

you can take the battery and the back off the device and place in completely submerged in a bag of white rice and leave it in there for 1 to 2 days this will help absorb the moisture, this should fix it if the water did not damage the circut boards if the water damaged the circut boards then the device is fried

I dropped my k850i in water. It started gradually working properly after a few days but it wont charge. Everything else works fine. It just doesn't recognise the charger which I know is working fine.

The phone really does need to be taken apart and cleaned properly using PCB cleaner and any IC's which are damaged need to be replaced, the more you put power into it before the damage is cleaned/repaired the more you are risking further damage...

If you havent done phone repairs before, try a decent local phone shop see if they can take a look at it for you.

If you want to try yourself let me know and I can try and find a guide for dissassembly for you, however I have to warn you a lot of the repairs we get everyday where people have done more damage to their phone by trying to repair it themselves, they are usually unrepairable or cost a lot more as more ends up being damaged than the original fault

Battery problems

It could be a very old or somehow damaged battery. With a lot of use batteries on the ds tend to last not as long. I'm sure you could go to your local batteries plus store, and have them put identical, but new batteries. If they don't have them, you could try your local video game store, they usually have answers or new batteries.
