Question about Computers & Internet
I have a belkin all in one router (i.e. ADSL, Router, Wireless and VOIP). It worked great when I had ADSL, but now I cannot get ADSL, and have a PPPoe wireless connection.
I had to get another router, one without ADSL, because the WAN interface just connects as PPPoe to the wireless ISP.
My question is this; is it possible to use the VOIP part of the belkin, even if the WAN is on the other DLINK router? I'm guessing it's something to do with the ROUTING table??
1. The DLINK (WAN router to wireless) is serving as DHCP. Subnet
255.255.255.0 and has a local IP address of 10.1.1.1
2. The BELKIN (with the VOIP bit) is also set to subnet 255.255.255.0
and has a local IP of 10.1.1.99
3. The BELKIN has the DHCP disabled, as well as the ADSL portion.
Any help would be really useful!
You will probably need to set it up differently, I do not know the belking router, but normally the VOIP functions only work on the wan port of these routers so you should make the connections as follows:
INET ---> (wan) DLINK (lan) -----> (wan) BELKIN (voip) --> Phone
|--------> Wired Computers
|--- ) ) ) Wi Fi computers
On the DLINK enable DHCP and set a fixed IP for the Belkin router, either by setting the belkin in an IP outside the DHCP pool or setting it from the DHCP server.
This configuration workd well with a DLINK and a Motorola (vonage) router I have.

when you upgraded did any settings from your isp change like passwords or usenames that your router may not be registering at your isp's server, or the line speed that you are now getting is not suported by the router.
type 192.168.2.1 in your web browser and check the connection settings.
