HELLO THERE ELLI:
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY ,
when it's in pump-out (spin), the washer DOES make sounds, there is
probably something clogging the hose going to the pump. Pair of panties,
children's sock, anything relatively small. This will be BEFORE the
pump. You'll have to remove the cabinet from the front (easy job),
remove the hose going TO the pump, and check it out.
If, when it's in pump-out (spin), the washer just has a faint hum, the
pump is probably locked down (pair of panties, children's sock, anything
relatively small). Replace the pump.
If, when it's in pump-out (spin), the washer is quiet, the lid switch is broken. Very common problem. Replace the lid switch.
Don't automatically think 'clog'. These washers, while relatively loud
machines, are very common-sense workhorses. Clogging is rare.
