Question about PC Desktops
Have tried Nusb33e, the storage drivers themselves are a bit buggy;
Too many hang-ups. (The USB2 'Microsoft' drivers are not too
bad, but they ain't 'Adaptec' ) As far as loading up that entire 242975-type
suite, I would caution any novice or unskilled user NOT to load it!
It is extremely unstable. I was able to rescue that partition by overcopying
the new files from my CAB files. There is no general Uninstall program,
only a USB2 uninstall for the 3 drivers & 1 inf file.
Nusb33e is a good program to Un-Zip and play with, a few files at
a time. Good learning experience.
Anyway, the 5 'stick-reader' files; usbstor.sys, usbntmap.sys, usbmphlp.pdr, usbstor.inf, & usbntmap.inf are the ones I'm currently using.
Can you think of any others, Sir? Thanks, Dana.

What happens when you tried to plug-in SD card to the computer?
Have you made any recent changes to the computer prior to the issue?
To make the SDHC be recognized by the computer, we need to ensure that the card reader works in Windows 7 first. Please check if the card reader is recognized properly by the computer and you have installed the driver for it.
Meanwhile, you can plug some other storage cards to the card reader and see how it works.
I would suggest you to refer the link below
A Secure Digital (SD) card may not be recognized on a Windows 7 based computer.
Uninstall all the Generic USB drivers and reinstall.
1. Open Device Manager.
2. In "Disk Drives" dropdown, uninstall the "Generic SD/MMC USB device" drive.
3. Restart computer.
4. Insert SDHC card.
Hope this helps.
