Ok look for the freezer compartment. one located, there always some screws to remove there usually 1/4 inch about 5 or 6 of them sometimes 4 you remove that cover the defrost element is at the bottom look at the two wires and the position of the element. sometimes you have to snap it in other times it's a a whole piece (like ge) connect the wires one on 1 side and the other 1 the same way replace the defrost thermostat also. just cut the wires and use the wire nuts provided with it (if you buy genuine) mostly its an L40 if you buy a replacement your gonna have to get two of the orange wire nuts. just put the wires together and screw the wire nut on.

Frigidare model frs22zrg side by side Refrigerator, frezzer side keep freezing up, don't think heater coming on to defrost

This is very possible. If the ice is building up. You will have to remove the freezer panel and check the heater first for continuity. If it is good then it is more than likely the defrost thermostat. if they are both good then the defrost timer or control is the problem.

How do I test the digital circuit board that controls the temperature in refrigerator and freezer

Good Morning Friend,

I understand you are trying to test the digital circuit board that controls the temperatures for your Frigidaire refrigerator, model# FRS22ZRG. Typically, this is not a do it yourself test, as there are no step by step instruction manuals for this. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your refrigerator and determine what is going on with your appliance. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Freezer is working fine, main box is not cooling enough, slight frost build up on freezer thermostat control, slight water drip from vent in fridge box ,fan is running fine, most of dust build-up is cleaned...

I believe your defrost system is not working properly. Because there are so many different types I will ask you to locate the model number but if you cannot I will try to make this simple. Most refrigerators have a defrost timer or something called ADC Adaptive Defrost Control. That is the #1 possibility of the part that is causing the problem. Most are found inside the fresh food compartment and behind the controls for temperature. The second and third most likely are the defrost heater and defrost element are defective. You can unplug the refrigerator and remove the rear panel in back of freezer to expose the evaporator coils. If frozen over defrost with a hair dryer and let me know how the defrost heater and defrost thermostat appear. Some need to be tested with an OHM meter. Let me know if you find the model number and I will get the part numbers and locations, Thanks, Sea Breeze

The bottom of my frigidaire is not cooling properly; and the freezer works great; is it a minor problem i can fix

you might have a defrost problem. Frost free models have a heating element that is controlled by a timer to automatically defrost ice, defrost timer turns on defrost heating element every 12 hours to melt ice in freezer and allow good air flow.
You can test defrost element with an ohm meter(located inside freezer coils-will have two wires going to a plug connection), if OK replace defrost timer (located in various places depending on make and model

I have a GE side by side refrigerator that keeps blowing the defrost heater element. MODEL # TFT22JWDA WW SERIAL # TZ264141 I bought it from a GE dealer about 5-6 years ago. It ran fine for 3 years,...

In my GE side-by-side there is a defrost temp sensor located near the top of the evaporator coil. I think the control board uses that temp sensor to know when it should be done defrosting.

On the schematic of my fridge (link below), the defrost thermistor is part number 240 in the diagram (not part number 241, which is a different temp sensor located adjacent to the one you want)

I don't know why the defrost element would fail immediately other than incorrect supply voltage or just a bad defrost element.

Freezer Cold but not freezing

Usually this is a sign of the defrost is no taking place. On base of refrigerator behind the kick plate grill is a defrost timer. Turn the timer clockwise until compressor stops. Leave in that position for up to 30 minutes. The refrigerator should restart on its own after that wait. If not turn the timer again until compressor starts and replace timer. During the time off this should have put the refrigerator into defrost and inside the freezer compartment you should hear crackling and sizzling as the defrost heater melts the ice and water drops down onto the defrost heater. If this helps let me know. The replacement part number for the defrost timer is
215846602 If this does not help we will need to do some other test inside the freezer with the rear cover removed and power unplugged. Sea Breeze

Frigidaire Deluxe Chest Freezer is constantly

Two things to check without knowing the model number.

It is possible the drain plug was left out or not inserted correctly after defrosting and it is leaking..

Also there is sometimes an evaporator pan with a heater element on the bottom. If the heater element failed the evaporator pan would overflow.

Water leaking inside my Frigidaire refrigerator

In Frost free fridges The Heaters turn on in defrost mode via defrost timer every 6 ,12 ,or 24 ,Hour intervals.Where the drain is eg the plate you mentioned should have a wire element attatched underside foil covered sounds like it's open circuit [burn't out] .The main defrost element is obviously working because your getting the water there .The tray element should be available at any white goods part's store, hope that hels.
