Question about Dell Latitude C610 Notebook
To Whom This May Concern;
I purchased you laptop. To say the least, it would not even turn on.
I took this back to the store, however after only owning the laptop for a matter of three day's. I misplaced my receipt.
The store stated they would send it in and have it fixed since I did not have an receipt, it has now been over an month and when I phoned the store they did not even know who I was. They stated and I quote, "We have absolutely no Records of your computer nor any information in our system. I am more than upset. I don't know where to turn. I paid over $1200 for this laptop. Now I have no proof, for they did not give me anything to show that I took the laptop in, and I am still looking for the receipt. I can not believe this could possibly happen in this age. If that doesn't work try this:
1-create a dos system disk,
: 2- copy "debug" (this is a dos command found in windows\command directory) onto the system disk you created,
: 3- boot the machine with this disk,
: 4- at dos prompt type: debug then enter, you will see a blinking dash
: 5- type: o 70 2e then enter, (also seen: o 70 18)
: 6- type: o 71 ff then enter,
: 7- type: q then enter,
: 8- remove the floppy and reboot! Power the system off and on by unplugging and re-plugging the system into the power outlet
