Sync'ing to my MP3 player "did not fit on device"

I'm finally starting to use my MP3 player given as a gift over a year ago. I'm using windows media player 11 to rip music to my media library. The GPX is showing 225 megabytes remaining, but I can't even sync one song to my MP3 player...it just says "did not fit on device". Any advice? i got my gpx player and it doesnt even try to sync music. it says Windows Media Player encountered a problem while synchronizing the file to the device. For additional assistance, click Web Help. i clicked web help and nothing.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Check My Computer. If the PC recognises the Sansa player then simply add the songs by dragging the files into the player's icon on My Computer. Sometimes this kick starts the built in software included on the mp3 player.

I had the same problem, all you have to do is first turn on the Mp3.Then go to settings. Then go down to USB mode. It will probably say, auto detect. But instead scroll down to MSC. If that doesn't work try MTP.

*1st- Make sure your compputer has met all the system requirments.
*2nd- Make sure you have Windows Media Player 10 or newer. (If not you may download it from Microsoft's website)
*3rd- Once media player is installed plug your mp3 in to the computer and wait for the "Found New Hardware" Process to complete.
*4th- Transfrer all of your music into Windows Media Player

*5th- Your device should now show up in Windows Media Player under the sync tab
*6th- Drag the music into the sync list on the right and click the "Start Sync" button
*7th- When prompted unplug your device
*8th- Enjoy.

Sync'ing to my MP3 player "did not fit on device"

I had the same problem, and found out a solution. The reason no more files fit even though there is room is that the File Allocation Table can only fit so many entries. Your's must be at the limit. What you do is create a folder under the main folder and copy files there. It should work.
