Question about Two-Way Radios
My Excalibur SSB, AM/FM/SSB/CW Transceiver just stops putting out and receiving, the next day it might start to work again, maybe not.I looked for cold solder joints, the power supply is adjusted to 13.5 volts, also the RF/SWR meter stopped working even when the rig worked.Any ideas you might have would sure be welcome, thankyou.
If the swr does not deflect even you press the PTT it might be the power amplifier has the problem, pls check also your power supply it should be regulated nor constant voltage output....

sounds like some loose solder joints. check power output with external meter to see if output is ok . i think youprobably have 2sc1969 finals init unles someone has changed them theyshould put about 25 watts if tuned correctly. also check the antenna a and antenna b switch to see if something has shorted across it inside cabinet.
