Two things: 1. Make sure that you chose the writer drive (burn to DVD) and not "hard drive" in the options window that appears when clicking on "Produce" and then on "Burn to disc". 2. SlideShow Expressions can have problems when the photos are too large and when the project your trying to burn is quite large as well. What is too large? I can only speak from own experience. I found that once a project gets into the range of 400 or more photos (total) my writer fails to write. (I've burned projects containing up to 388 successfully; photos at original size) However, this can be solved by resizing your photos. I have a project with 466 photos (10 chapters) that wouldn't burn to disc. I then resized the photos so that everyone were under 500 KB. It worked: burning is now successful. Resizing doesn't necessarily mean that the quality of your photos will drop. I used Microsoft Office Picture Manager and, really, visually there is no difference between the original photos and the resized photos in the slideshow project. Experiment with photo size. Maybe another size works for you. Also, you could be using the wrong type of disc. Try DVD+R.

Burning computer files on a DVD can be a great way to backup your information.
Most one-sided writeable and rewritable DVD discs can store nearly five gigabytes of information, while two-sided writeable and rewriteable DVD discs can hold over eight gigabytes.

There are many programs available for purchase that you can use to burn a DVD.
For the sake of this tutorial, we will be using one of the most popular CD and DVD burning utilities Nero Burning ROM.

Read on to learn how to burn a DVD.
Insert your writeable or rewriteable DVD into your writeable DVD drive.

Click on your start menu and select "All Programs," "Nero" and "Nero StartSmart."
Locate the pull-down menu at the top of the window that shows "CD" displayed.

Click on the arrow to view the rest of the menu and select DVD.
Find the icons under the pull-down menu you just used.

Click on the "Data" icon. Then click on "Make Data DVD."
Click on the "Add" button when the Nero Express window opens.

Find the files on your hard drive that you would like to burn to the DVD and select them.
When you're done selecting files, click "Finished."

Select "Next" to get to the Final Burn Settings screen. If you can select the speed at which to write your disc, select the 8x option.

Click "Burn" and wait as your files are burned to the DVD. Click "OK" once the window pops up telling you the burn process was completed successfully. http://www.nero.com/enu/index.html

DVD wont burn with dvd maker gets to 99% then stops

HI THERE,
When was the last time it was working fine?

• Do you have any third party CDDVD burning software?
• Are you able to burn DVD's using windows explorer?

First I would suggest that you try burning using another DVD and check if it works.

Method 1

Try one or more of the following:
Verify that the DVD burner is connected properly to your computer and powered on, and that any necessary software drivers for the DVD burner are installed. You can check your hardware settings in the Device Manager by doing the following:

1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click Hardware and Sound.
3. Click Device Manager.
• Make sure that the videos you're trying to burn are not corrupted. To see whether the videos you want to burn is corrupted, try playing or viewing them using Windows Media Player. If the files don't play using the Player, Windows DVD Maker cannot burn them.

• Choose a slower burning speed for your DVD burner by doing the following:
1. Return to the Add pictures and video to the DVD page, and then click Options.
2. In the DVD burner speed box, select Medium or Slow.

Method 2

Check if you are able to burn DVD successfully using Windows Explorer.

Method 3

Check in the event viewer to know the cause of the DVD burning failure and post back with the details.

How to record from a website to cd on laptop

To burn cd/dvd you have to check :

1. Your laptop cd/dvd drive have what capability:
- cd writer = only burn cd
- cd writer/dvd reader(combo) = still only burn cd
- dvd writer = can burn cd, dvd single layer(4GB)
- dvd DL writer = can burn cd and dvd single 4GB and dual layer 8GB.
Other than those, is not possible.

2. Must have burn apps named:
- Nero
- Alcohol 120%
- other. search internet.

If you have them then using the apps to burn, just read the manual.

Koam114 is in Korean. I don't understand :)
But If you want songs from website, you should download it first.
Unless the site is giving you a step by step how to burn songs directly to your cd/dvd.
Once downloaded, would be easier to burn to cd/dvd.

Convert to playable dvd from .mov file

Usually .mov Files will work if you have a good DVD Burning Program, however the standard is .mpg or .avi. Most programs such as Roxio, Nero, and 3rd party DVD Authoring programs will use any file, but it will take a little longer because it has to convert the video, usually resulting a little quality loss.
