Question about Washing Machines
Washer started making horrible sound when agitating. There is no noise when spinning. I opened the front panel and noticed that the black rubber piece that used to be on the panel (to act as a buffer between tub and panel?) was missing. I located it at the bottom of the washer. Who knows what damage this might have done. Removing the rubber piece did not solve problem. I can't see anything that looks odd. Any ideas?
If it is whirlpool then skid plate could be out of place. Ge has a total different suspension system. black rubber could be the strap that restricts movement - 4 that attach from frame to tub ring.
