Have exactly the same problem. Resetting does not help nor downloading the firmware again through iTunes. Looks like I have to return it to the store.

Your screen is most likely damaged.

I just got A i POD NANO 2ND GEN. and it worked fine yesterday I down loaded music to it and it said that it was charged and this morning it wont turn on or launch when I plug it in to my computer. I have...

Make sure that your ipod is plugged into the wall and not into the computer. The ipod can get more power from the wall then from your computer. Once it is plugged into the wall try reseting the unit. Hold down the menu button and the center button for several seconds. Make sure you dont have the hold on when doing this. If this does not fix the problem then you may have a bad battery or a bad system board. Contact Apple and see if the unit is still under warranty with this site:

The serial number can be found on the back of the ipod toward the bottom. Contact you ahve any more questions.

My Ipod 3rd gen. wont work other than when its pluged into the pc

Your battery is most likely dead to the point where it can no longer hold a charge, which is the reason that when you unplug it from the computer, it dies instanly. Batteries are pretty cheap going up to about as high as $25 and if you get it done at a ipod place, installation should not be that much.

IPod not working in my music dock

Hi Natalie
Sounds like you're having logic board troubles. You need to take it to an ipod repair specialist to take a look at it. Sorry to bring the bad news. Chances are it's not a simple repair and will need a new logic board and they're not cheap:

If it's still less than a year old take it back to an apple store asap for a free replacement.

All the best

Screen is white but music still plays

I have the same problem .. But i found a trick ...When you have a blank screen.
1 you must listen music else press play until you listen it
2. flip the switch on the side to lock position
3. press on buttom the next tune 1-2 seconds
4. you will have a black screen ( you listen the music again)
5. flip the switch on the side to normal position.
6 the screen appear ok now..

7. else repeat ( most time once is ok but sometimes 2 or 3 times)
