There was a problem signing into Yahoo! Messenger

As its name implies, Yahoo Messenger allows you to exchange instant messages with other Yahoo users. But the software's capabilities extend far beyond one-on-one text conversations. Locked Accounts
Yahoo places locks on Messenger accounts as a security precaution. The locks take effect when there are multiple, failed attempts to access a user's Yahoo account. Even if you unsuccessfully tried to to sign in to a different Yahoo product, you may find your Messenger account locked. b> Unlocking Accounts b> To unlock your account, go to Yahoo's sign-in page and enter your user ID and password. When you reach your My Yahoo page, click on one of the Quicklinks you see on the left side of the page. Leave your My Yahoo page open. Sign into Yahoo Messenger for the Web, then try to sign into Yahoo Messenger. If you are unsuccessful, contact customer care. b> Current Versions b> "Account locked" messages aren't the only sign-in problems you may experience with Yahoo Messenger. Some users experience sign-in issues when using older versions of the software. Yahoo engineers recommend upgrading to the newest version of Messenger. To determine what version you have, look for the "About Yahoo Messenger" link under the Help menu. Visit the Yahoo Messenger website to determine if this is the current version. b> Other Sign-in Issues b> When you have trouble signing in to Messenger, verify that your Internet connection is working. You can do this by navigating to a webpage. If you are able to sign into Yahoo Mail but not Messenger, there may be a problem with your connection settings. I'm sure you are seeing the I'm Mobile status on your name whenever you sign out of Yahoo Messenger.

That is because the "Always sign in to my mobile phone when I sign out of Messenger" was selected on the General tab of the Yahoo Messenger Preferrences.

To disable this process, follow this procedure:

1. Log in to your Yahoo Messenger
2. Click on the Messenger menu and then, scroll down to Preferences.
3. Select the General topic.
4. Make sure there is no mark on the box next to "Always sign in to my mobile phone when I sign out of Messenger"
5. Click Apply then click OK button.

After that restart your Yahoo Messenger. The next time you sign out, you will never be sign in automatically with your mobile.

If you want to sign in to Yahoo messenger, plz download Yahoo messenger from Google & install it. After that you need to create an account in yahoo. After creating the account you can able to login to yahoo messenger...

I have a few questions, Do you have a Yahoo Account? Have you installed Yahoo! Messenger?
If you have no Yahoo account, open this LINK and sign up for one.

If you haven't yet installed Yahoo! Messenger on your computer, please follow this LINK, and follow the instructions to download and install the latest version of Yahoo! Messenger. Once it's installed, open the Yahoo! Messenger, type in your yahoo username and password to sign/log in to your yahoo messenger account.

If you already have a Yahoo account with username (Yahoo ID) and password, open Yahoo! Messenger and sign in using the username and password.

You disconect fromchat because you signed in the yahoo messenger
Messenger is a different applicatio from chat. yahoo considers the user of the application as different, so yahoo disconects you from one application from the other

double click icon of yahoo messenger you will see sign id and password type there click signin
