It could be, but that sounds more like a filter capacitor in the power supply.

Pop heard yesterday by front right burner, everything turned off. Breaker not cut out but reset nothing turns on

There may be an internal fuse, or what you heard was the power supply connection burning apart, So now no power to the stove or stove top. Of course turn breaker off. before digging into dangerous territory.

I have a Roper over the range microwave and the unit popped while heating some food and I lost all power. The breaker is not thrown and the wall outlet is working?

It is more than a fuse, the magnetron has probably failed. When that pop sound is heard it is usually the above mentioned part which is the heart of the microwave oven.

My whirlpool dryer was working fine then I heard a pop noise then dryer shut off

it sounds to me like a wire came loose and shorted out or popped fuse!!! Check your breaker box and if the breaker is not blowed or flipped, then you probably need to replace the dryer fuse!!!

I was baking and heard a pop sound and saw a spark before the oven lost all power? What happened?

OOOPPs - not good , If you saw or heard a pop noise + spark then something blew or shorted.
If the 'loss' was quiet then a fuse or circuit breaker can blow without noise or sparks.
This oven has 4 Heating elements (2 on Grill) 2 inside oven , as you were baking it sounds like a heating element.
As this is a US model I'm assuming you are close to a SEARS somewhere, because they advertise parts made for Kenmore -- try this link http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Kenmore-Parts/Evaporative-coil-Parts/Model-867813350/0582/1610510/00007536/00001

My dryer wont come on no drum rotation or any other sounds of the dryer functioning. Heard some electrical crackling in the circuit breaker panel which is right next to dryer. Circuit breaker did not pop...

if you know nothing about electricity have a qualified serviceman check for continuity at the outlet the dryer plugs into for power. there should be 220 volts ac and running off a 50-60 amp breaker to power an electric dryer.. if there is power than the dryer might have a bad motor or the timer or door switch could be bad. there also is a thermal fuse inside the back panel that fails. ive seen all this through the years.. goog luck and goodday.

Electric Dbl Wall Oven-loud popping noise at end of self clean

Bill ,i dont suspect the control unit is the problem im going back to the loud pop you heard I would say the pop you heard was one of the elemants blowing and that the reason the the breaker tripped if you say the clock, timer and light functon are ok it more so points to an elemant in most cases when an elemant blows it breaks the circuit .but the other componants also work when you reset the breaker i think in this case bill i would call a electrician it needs testing, sorry i could not help this time bill, but do not hesatate to contact me if i can help you again.adrian

Power

depending on what type of circuit protection you have on the dryer[ circuit breaker or the older screw in fuse ] is probably what you heard blowing . If the noise you heard came from the dryer , then it's time to check the connections in the dryer[after unplugging the power source to it] to see what has happened ,if you feel you are experienced enough to handle this type of operation. If you have any doubts about you ability to do this ,then don't!! Call an electrician and/or appliance repairman to do the inspection
