You have to provide me the service tag as the exp code is not correct and give me the model number which you can locate printed on the power switch itself

If you have a previous video card in your computer you need to remove it first. Replace it with your new card and boot up. Check if the computer recognises it. If not go to install new hardware.
If there was no previous card, remove the new one, boot up comp and then close down
Try re-installing it.

Computer starts but moniter stays in sleep mode .. moniter works on different comp .. will adding a vid card to my comp fix this problem ??

Actually, Yes. It seems like you have answered your own question... Especially considering the monitor works on another computer.

Do you have another monitor to test on this computer?

Although another consideration could be if you recently installed or downloaded a program which may have changed your video output range to a setting your video monitor wont handle. If this is the case and you can start the computer in safe mode, this will allow you to go into your properties settings and change it back. This way, a new vid card is not req.

Good Luck

My HP M7260n doesn't recognize my new Video Card...

You might need to uninstall the old video card device, so Windows does not use the old drivers for the new card.
Another option is to try and boot in Safe Mode (press F8 during startup), so Windows uses the VGA mode (which all video cards support), and then install the proper driver.
Installing the latest ATI driver updates might also not be a bad step.

I have an eMachine that the moniter will not turn on. I run a virus scan. But cannot get the moniter the stay on. the power light is on, the screen is not working.

The first thing we need to do is figure out if the problem is the computer or the monitor.

Have you got another computer around, a laptop will work too.

Blank monitor after installing new video card

One thing you can try is to go into the Bios and load the default Bios settings. Sometimes that helps in reassigning interrupts and I/O addresses with new hardware.

Video controller problem? pc wont come on

You have a few things going on.

1.) missing drivers
Please visit support.intel.com and do the automatic device finder on there site. It will give you all intel related drivers for your system.

2.)Need to get your video card drivers fixed to but you did not mention who manufactured the video cards. If its nividia you can goto http://www.codebluehelp.co.cc and hit up the downloads section to have the nividia app auto scan for nividia products.

3.)sounds also like you may have some infections on your system a virus scanner would not help you with. Please be sure to goto http://www.codebluehelp.co.cc/downloads.html and get cleaner, advanced system care, and spybot search and destroy. This should be a big help.
