Cold water won't stop before rinse cycle

if it fails to stop running only at the rinse part of the cycle it is probably in the timer as the solenoid valve has to cut the water off when the washer fills for the wash cycle too. fills for wash cycle and cuts off water, washes and drains, refills for rinse cycle and water just keeps running? does this every time you run it? that's in the timer. bad solenoid (water inlet valve) would keep running even on wash fill up. hope this helps.

Water keeps filling up washer

u have a bad water valve. thats the plastic piece behind the washer that the hoses hook upto. part roughly 39.99-89.99 labor 75-125.00 depending on were u live and who u use. if you decide to do it yourself i would say a 5 on a scale of 1-10 . turn water supply off, remove both hose.turn off power remove top panel 2screws in back and push panel back and off. remo 2 screws that hold water valve in place. remove wires from pld valve too new one. reassemble . hope this helps.

MAYTAG WASHING MACHINE WILL NOT HOLD WATER. JUST KEEPS RUNNING WATER OUT

You may have a siphoning situation with your washer. The following link explains:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r587481-prevent_washer_siphoning

This could be a simple matter of drain line placement. Please read through the link provided and verify your washer installation. If my diagnosis is not correct, please post back to this thread and elaborate some more on your symptoms, so that I may provide you with better assistance. Hopefully, this solves your problem.

My kenmoe washer starts filling up with water but won't fill up. Water is just keeps running through but won't hold the water.

You drain hose must be higher than the tub. you can solve this with a standpipe or a siphon break kit.

Washer constantly fills with hot water even when turned off.

Sounds like a bad mixing valve. To verify that it is the valve you need to turn off the washer when it is filling. If water keeps running, replace the valve, Cost is under $50. for most washers.

Water keeps running

missmelissa, sounds like you are siphoning. Lift the drain hose from the drain and see if it fills then. You need to have a air gap on the drain so you don't get the siphoning affect. Catriver..post back.
