Check the settings in the menu and make sure you have the input properly set to RGB and not color difference settings (Y, RY, BY).

I seen 2 post with same problum diffrent explations, I have the same TV with the same problem. I am sorry that all the answers are so silly and basic. I just open up mine to check all the compositors to see if their are any Bulging or to see if anything looks damage. I will pull the Power supply and start checking the compositors. and let you know. I will look in other places first to see if I can get some REAL Answers. Poco Zocko Actor

Sony pfm 42b1 negative picture

Hi,

I have a Sony PFM-42v1 and it does the same thing, look in your tv menu for picture inversion, usually under screen saver. What it actually does is reduce the chance of screen burnin. By reversing the image it sort of resets the hot areas, brightest colours and the cooler areas being dark colours, switches them around ( negative ). This cools the hot spots and heats up the cold spots.

There should be a option to turn it off, mine and I guess yours as a default is ON, mine has the ON, timer and OFF options.

Hope this helps, please let me know if you need more info.

Hd outputs or connectins

The only HD input on that monitor that is true HD is the 15 pin VGA input connector. It can be set in the TV menu to be used as an RGB input OR a color difference component input (Y, RY, BY). You will need a 15 pin connector that breaks out into 3 sperate cables; the ones I've seen break out into 3 BNC connectors and then you have to use dapators to convert them to standard RCA pulgs for connection to most consumer devices.

Watching Cable TV

this Sony is a MONITOR not a TV. You need a cable box or a satellite tuner/receiver. There is no built in TV Tuner in this model
