There is a small indentation at the top near the screen, put your fingernail in that and slowly lift the casing away

Garmin streetpilot c330 can't find satelite

Hi,

The Garmin c330s will have trouble acquiring satellites as the batteries wear out, which usually happens around 15 mo. Batteries are soldered in, so replacement requires sending it in to Garmin. I've seen some reports from users who had this problem right out of the box or shortly after purchase.

You May try

No.1

You can try both a normal reset or a master reset and see if either one works for you.
The normal reset button is behind the front bezel. You access it by using your thumbnail under the top part of the bezel and carefully pull the bezel off. Once off you press the reset button on the right side of the front face labeled reset.

Option #2 - Master reset, will lose all data.

With the unit off, use a pencil eraser to depress the bottom right corner of the screen while turning the unit on. Once on, let go of the on button and keep the lower right screen depressed and answer yes to do you want to reset unit and lose all data. Once reset you must allow the unit 45 minutes of good reception to reload all satellite data, moon data, time, etc...

Sure this would help .

God Bless.

What you would do is, under where the model code sticker is under is the reset button. remove the sticker and hold down the reset button for 10 seconds at the same time hold the power button towards the left.

Garmin iQue 3600 has a blink screen

Hi,
if it will not power up, you don't have many options.

unscrew the head of the sylus to access the rest tool
Press the reset at the back with the stylus
This is re-booting, all data safe still here.

Hard reset is last resort...data erased here.
Press the reset button again as above
after you release, press the power button, keep pressing until the message
( all data stored is about to be erased )
to complete the reset press the upper half of the scroll button, on the front,
The digitizer screen appears

pressing any other button here performs a soft reset.

Update it if you get it up and running.

Hope this helps
Ric.

Connect to power supply, turn on, press reset button (under the power button); you will not loose settings. This is all said also in the manual undet reset.

When I turned it on it shows a blinking screen reading Venus2 UT R10. and then 0=WINCE upgrade 1=GPS Tools 2=BT Tools etc. and none of the normal functions come up.

This happens when both the power and reset button are depressed. In my case the menu came up and the selection between items would loop. Pressing buttons did nothing. It wouldn't even allow me to select anything.

Solved the problem. It appears that the reset switch malfunctioned. I opened it up (hint: use a guitar pick to pry the edges apart) and removed the reset switch. If you don't like to solder you can gently pull the top off the micro switch and that will do it. Cleaned it with compressed air. .... Now all I need is new reset switch.

Removing front cover

The gray framing around the unit will lift up. You only need to place you finger nail in the notch on the top of the framing in order to gently pry it open. Once you open it up the reset button will be on the right side of the unit.
