Question about Kodak EasyShare Z1275 Digital Camera
I HAVE A KODAK EASY SHARE Z1275 AND DROPPED AND BROKE THE SCREEN. IT STILL TAKES PICS BUT OF COURSE I CANT SEE THEM. FOUND A SCREEN FROM KODAK THAT THEY WILL SELL ME FOR $35. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO REPLACE IT OR AT LEAST SOME THINGS TO LOOK OUT FOR WHILE I OPEN IT UP TO SEE IF I CAN DO IT MYSELF. THANKS AHEAD
The LCD is pretty east to replace once you remove the case screws the case will separate with a little force make sure you mark down the screw "possion". This can be crucial now once the case is off. be careful the LCD can have 2 wires and a ribbon cable or 2 ribbon cables or just 1 ribbon cable. their will be a latch at the end of the ribbon cable lift it up and remove the ribbon cable if their are 2 do the same to both. if their are soldiered wires make sure you remember witch potion they were in. and put the new LCD in the same way you took the other one out. OH YEAH WATCH OUT FOR THE FLASH COMPOSITOR. It can bit like a starving dog on a steak bone. 300 volts is enough bite to make you through the camera across the room LOL take it from me I know LOL. Well just reverse the steps and you should be ok. Hope this helps.
