I didn't read anything about the color being adjustable at the camera level, but through software the 'Olympus Master' software should be able to correct for the wrong hue.

But, this is not a good method in my opinion. It should automatically look realistic when the auto mode is chosen to take pictures.

I would return the camera to exchange it for another of the same model, if you wish, before 7/30/2010.

On win 7 my olympus master for my olympus fe-170 camera will not run. hence, i can not download photos, thanking you, bob.

Check the Olympus web site for a winows 7 driver. Otherwise you will need to find a card reader that reads XD cards (the kind only used by olympus) and use that to download the pics from your camera.

Olympus FE-370 I have 10 pictures on the camera (tok pics without realising there was no card inside!), but I cant seem to save them to the memory card - I have lost the lead for the camera. Is there...

See page 34 of the manual (available for free download from Olympus below).

http://www.olympusamerica.com/files/FE-370_X-880_C-575_Instruction_Manual_EN.pdf

Or in short, select the "Setup" (tools) menu, and then select "Backup". You'll need to have the memory card installed for the transfer.

Fe 170 olympus

To check pictures taken look for 'Review' button.
Your camera should show a camera logo/icon for
still pics and a video logo/icon for videos.
Check your manual.

The FE-170 is not equipt with microphone for sound with video. Sorry. The only fix is to buy a different camera. Some with sound are:Olympus FE-190, FE-230, most Stylus brands and newer FE model cameras.

Fe-170 olympus sound

From the specs i've read on this camera, it does not record sound in video clips taken.

The FE180 and FE190 do record sound.

Sorry for the bad news.

Red Flash mark while taking photo

It sounds to me like you are not waiting for the camera to charge the flash when turning the camera on or between shots. It seems you are using 1700mAh batteries and most modern digital cameras are better off using 2500mAh batteries. Your camera was released in September 2006 so it is considered "modern". With 1700mAh batteries, your flash (warm-up) recycle time time will be rather long or the amperage may not be enough to fully charge the flash unit. I highly recommend Duracell 2500mAh rechargeable batteries.
