Question about Radio Shack (15-2147) Remote Control

1 Answer

I have a Futaba T9CP transmitter sending to a FP-129DP receiver and on to 6 digital servo's 4 hitec and 2 futaba and they all appear to be delayed in there response to the transmitter movement and they also twitch at random times and all this happens without the engine running so no electrical interference is likely. Any ideas Cheers Phil

Have you got any expo dialled into the settings, this will delay or rather soften the response to your servos, the glitching you are getting may be due to you be close to the reciever and swamping the sinal hence the glitching, see if it goes when you walk away from the transmitter

just another thought, you should have a 6 volt rx battery to run 6 digital servos with a good capacity, i suggest 6volt and 2000mah

Some of the information you're requesting is at the following link.

The current consumption will be dependant on the loading of the servo.

Digital Servos give and quicker resoponse to your input and provide a higher torque in a shorter period of time. Full explanation st the following link.

Steering servo makes hard rt turn without turning steering wheel. batteries are fully charged and all connections appear secure. can temporarily eliminate prob by turning transmitter off/on.

2 possible problems:
transmitter-The variable resistor inside your transmitter is stuck fully on. Take apart the transmitter - look for the part under the wheel. It should have a 3 wire variable resistor under there - check for broken wires shorting to the other side or simply broken solder joints.

2nd possible answer is the car has a shorted output drivers on the motor controller board.

hard to fix without a schematic.
