My ps3 keeps freezing during the game

if its only happening on disc games i would say the lens is going bad.

The problem is update 3.30. Whatever it contained, it hurt the systems ability to read from the BD Drive. I suspect you can play downloaded content forever without freezing. If correct, the is currently no fix. I am in the same boat. Our only hope is that Sony will come forward with a fix. Currently, if you call them they will say your system is faulty and you need to send it back to them for a swap.

Try using a can of air to blow out the fan area. Even though its well ventilated it may be full of dust. It sounds like an overheating issue. Also look into aftermarket fan/cooling solutions, that dont plug directly into the PS3 and have there own outlet power plug.

man u should  keep ur PS3 COOL and try to make some free space in the HD, but keep it COOL ok

Is it new?? Maybe you got one of those editions which were put in kiosks in best buy or stuff. They crashed every 20 minutes and sony said it was "On purpose to keep gamers from playing all day and give other people a chance to play" or sort ....
