Generic problem for all Vacuums
On my Bissell shampooer, model
On my Bissell shampooer, model 7901-b i have no suction

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
If you have no suction, you could have a base seal in the recovery tank, there could be a clog or blockage, or check the clear tubes to see the they are crimped or pinched so that the vac is not getting any air, or start from the bottom and work your way up to where you do get suction and you should find the problem, a lot of times it is a gasket or the recovery tank is not on there securely or you may have a broken part that needs replacement. So feel free to check with the local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area in the yellow pages under vacuums, check the trouble shooting section to your owner’s manual or call the factory or check the website and maybe down load or have them mail out a owner’s manual.

The little toothed belt on my bissell shampooer broke got a replacement but don't know how to put it back on Stark's where I bought the belt wouldn't help me man said he isn't a mechanic. well...

Hi!  Your question has come up under Bissell ProHeat, although you don't actually specify that model. Assuming it is, the belt change operation is quite simple but hard to describe in words (it will sound much more complicated than it actually is, and is further complicated by the fact that there are two different belts, one on each side of the machine!)
Your best bet is to go to the Bissell website (www,bissell.com), find your exact model, and then you can download the user manual which shows you, with illustrations, exactly how to do it.
Good luck!  I value your feedback. If this has helped, please remember to rate me.

Bissell carpet shampooer priblem

Something is probably clogging up the suction.
Try to snake it out with a coat hanger or similar tool.
Often, especially with shedding pets hair will clog the suction pipes.

Low Suction/No Soap

Check the seal at the bottom of the dispenser, it needs to be on the valve not sitting in the hole, part 2101795 if you need to replace it. If suction is low, check the filter on the bottom of the tank lid, if clogged, suction will be low. Also check window gasket, sits between the tank and the nozzle window, if missing, you won't have any suction part #2104052.
