Question about Vacuums

1 Answer

My full size bissell sprayed the room just fine, but now it won't **** up the water. Help! The container is closed and locked into place, and the bissell sounds fine.

Wish you had provided the model number, as they are different. The most common, if there is a flow indictor, is the filter there clean or clogged. The other possilbe, there is a ovule black seal that sits on top of the clear window noozle and the edge of the recovery tank, is it there and in place?

My bissell carpet shampooer won't spray out water

The tubes inside the machine are probably clogged. Dismantle top hood and disconnect the three lines at the pump, open up entire top housing and inspect heater. Disconnect two tubes and heater and blow out with air compressor. That will spray all the junk, soap that has built up and your machine will be good as new. If you can't do this yourself, contact bissell and ask where your local repair center is

Cleaner Solution Not Dispensing On Bissell 9200 Pro Heat Cleaner

I haven't had this particular issue (yet... knock on wood!) with my Bissell, but remember that the shampoo will not dispense with no water in the tank (the most common cause of this issue because sometimes you think it has water but it doesn't) or water not flowing through the machine due to clogged sprayers-- another issue-- but since you're getting water on the floor that is not your issue-- or with the handle locked in position. If none of that fixes it, try removing the shampoo container, stand over a sink, and push your finger up inside the grommet where the shampoo container mates with the Bissell. Shampoo should dribble out. If it doesn't, unscrew the grommet (holding the container upside down of course so the shampoo doesn't gush out) and use your finger and running water to try and the grommet cleaned out.

If this isn't helping, it may be that your soap pump or soap dispensing trigger switch are defective.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. If the instruction did not come with the Bissell Little Green Machine then I would contact the Bissell Factory that I will provide for you listed 2 the bottom of the answer,

So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

I have a bissell quickwash 1950-e. I bought it Jan. 2006, and have only used it 8-10 times, I live in a very hard water area, so I though if I put some vinegar in with the cleaning solution it would get...

Hard to say what is causing your problem, replacing the cap and insert on the water tank may help, part #2041111, even tho it may trickle out water when depressed, they can still be bad. The other thing would be the rod not relesing the water like it should. The big draw back to this model is Bissell has obsoleted all of its parts and most are no longer available. Might be wiser to buy new.
