Re: My Neptune dryer has stopped heating. Is there
Dryers are very simple. You probably just need a new heater element. Usually just remove the back panel, remove the element, take it to a appliance parts store, get a new one and install it. They don't cost very much maybe $20 or so...

My 2 yr old Maytag dryer took forever to heat up. called the repairman and I
found out that when the company I bought the dryer from installed it
they kinked the duct hose. Solenoid was replaced but burnt out since the duct when obtructed. You might want to pull the dryer out and check the hose.
Hello there and welcome to fixya Heating elementOften
a dryer heating element burns out, but doesn't trip the circuit breaker
or blow a fuse. The heating element is simply a long coil of special
wire. You can check it for continuity with an ohm meter. No continuity
means the element is bad and you need to replace it--electric heating
elements aren't repairable. To determine if the heating element is
burned out, watch the part testing video at the bottom of this page.
Thermal fuseOn
many dryers, there's a thermal fuse mounted to the exhaust duct inside
the back cover panel. The fuse--which is about an inch long--is usually
embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing. If the
fuse has blown, you need to replace it. (You can't re-set it.) To
determine if the thermal fuse has blown out, A
common problem is for the main wiring connection from the house, at the
dryer, to burn and break its connection. Because the dryer can still
tumble with partial power, the connection may be only partially
defective. You may need to replace both the power cord to the dryer and
the terminal block inside the dryer that the wire is attached to.
Q - My electric dryer runs but will not heat, what could stop my dryer from heating? A - Things that could stop a electric dryer from heating: - house fuse or breaker ( needs two of them ), heating element, burnt wire, thermostat(s), thermal fuse ( not all models ), motor heat switch, timer, selector switch, burnt power cord/plug. A ohm meter test for these parts is here.
you either need a new heating element or you are not getting full 240 volts, im assuming its electric here. check your outlet to make sure both leads are hot.
first, check the exhaust, make sure every inch of it is clean on the inside. if there is any blockage, the heat will build up in the exhaust and a sensor will shut down the heating element.
Stop using the water bottle because the water is overflowing the heater steamer pan and will short the heating element and the part is no longer avaliable and the top will stop drying.
