I have a Dirt Devil M130000 I Dual, which just shut off.

I was using this vaccuum, and it just shut off. It will only power on while the 'brushes' are turned on, but it still won't **** at all. Filters are clean, as is the canister. I don't know what else to check or do.

YOU MIGHT TRY LOOKING DEEP INTO THE DEVIL PAST THE CANISTER INTAKE AS THIS IS WHERE THEY CAN GET A HUGE CLOG THAT YOU CAN'T SE UNLESS YOU STICK YOUR HAND WAY IN THE UBE. DO THID WITH THE DEVIL TURNED OFF. CHECK FOR A SHORT IN THE CORD AS WELL BE SAFE FIRST.

Motor quit

Does it come back on right away or do you have to wait a while. Could be faulty thermal sensor.

After using the vacuum for a while it would stop running. After sitting several hours it would run again. Now it won't run at all. It was just a couple of months old and I haven't been able to use it...

If you would take the machine all apart in little pieces, you should find it is clogged with dirt or hair or whatever you have been vacuuming up.
Different brands of machines will last longer or shorter periods of time because of plugging up.
Most all of them can be cleaned, but some will just clog again quickly.
I personally use "Consumer's Report" to find good machines.
God bless your efforts.

My dirt devil vacuum cleaner is not working

Please specify whether the vacuum motor does not turn on when you flip the switch or it simply does not have suction.

Last year my wife and I bought a new Dirt Devil Reaction All Surface vaccuum cleaner to replace the older Platinum Force. After using it a couple of times the new one gets clogged with dog hair easily and...

Greetings jettin_us,

Normally you can contact the store you purchased the unit at, and if you paid with anything other than cash, they may be able to retrieve your receipt for you.

Once you get the receipt, if you still fall inside your 1year factory warranty, I would suggest contacting Dirt Devil for further assistance. Their contact number is 800-321-1134.

I hope this helps!

Replacing a belt on a dirt devil vaccuum

That metal rod is probably the motor shaft or pulley. On some of these, the open space between the shaft and top cover is very narrow. You just have to push thru th opening to around the shaft, then put it on the brush roll. Th belt will stretch enough to re-install the brush roll.
