Without the password, you cannot unless you insert an OS disc and start again.

It may be the AC jack has been damaged due to pulling on the power cable, wiggle the plug while in the device. Try to reset the device to default settings. After a firmware update the setup CD may not work, go online to reconfigure.

try to remove the cmos back up battery inside the DVR and install back the battery in invert position to short the polarity. Leave it overnight and install back the battery in the proper position and turn on. tyr to log in USERNAME: admin PASSWORD: 123456

You can download a password recover program from the net and run it, it will either tell you your password or reset if for you. Once you are in your system you can go into your security settings for the main user and disable the password protection.

Take out HD. Usually get an adapter- to plug in HD to USB. LOST PASSWORD?? Remove the CMOS Battery!! It should clear to ZERO.

You can go to LG Secret's "Settings", then "reset settings", the reset code of the LG Secret was just 0000 (4 x zero). This reset the LG Secret phone, although i backed everything up i didnt lose any files but all the menus, themes etc were set back to default.

Usually the default password is admin with no username . If that didnt work , the only option you can do is reset the unit to factory default.
It will reset your password but also reset your router to factory settings. You will need to setup again your router to connect to the internet.

Yes, you can (and you have to ) reset your router to factory default if you forgot your password.

Here is how to do it:

1. Use a pointed object to press and hold the Reset button on the back of the base station.
2. When the Power light on the front begins to blink green and orange, release the Reset button. The Power light turns solid orange. When it it turns solid green, the restoration is complete. This process takes about a minute.

Note that your current settings are erased and the base station is restored to the factory default settings!

Now you should be able to connect to the router.

1. You can access the base station at http://192.168.2.1
2. The default password is "admin"

Look at this article and check how to upgrade the firmware to the latest version. (I read about lots of problems with old firmware.)

Generally you have to push and hold the reset button, i suggest for 30 seconds, this should completely reset the unit, including passwords and settings.
