Question about Creative Labs Zen Micro MP3 Player

Stuck on CREATIVE screen...

... I had listened to the mp3 player an hour before this happened and it worked fine. I switched the player on and it said rebuilding library, but it took about 15 minutes for the little loading bar to move across the screen just a milimeter so I put it on hold and left it loading in my pocket. I got it out about an hour and a half later and there was a little icon on the screen and it said Firmware failed. I just switched it off not knowing what to do. I left it for a while and now when I turn it on it comes on fine then get stuck on the CREATIVE screen. PLZ PLZ help! It took me 2 years just to save enough money to buy it! No joke- I can't live without it..:'(

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Never mind, I got it. I just let the battery drain all of the way and then charged it. It worked fine afterward.

Press the "reset" button. If it didn't work, upgrade the firmware of this product. If problems still continue, contact the Creative company.

No longer holds a bookmark

I've had my MuVo V100 for a year and can tell you it only saves the bookmark for the last file played. Hence, if you're into a long audiobook, don't switch to another. I've taken to making note of where I am because if the battery dies while playing it will also go back to the last saved bookmark.

TIP: if you accidentally switch away from a book you're listening to, pull the battery BEFORE turning it off -- it will revert to your last bookmark.

my 2 cents

Mp3 won't charge

The same thing happened to me- I have a Creative Zen that I hadn't used in a few months. If the mp3 player has not been used for a long time the battery will be depleted. You will need to plug in the mp3 player for a long time- hours - see this website for details: http://193.95.171.83/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE/,/?St=681,E=0000000000253119896,K=1892,Sxi=19,Case=obj(28137),Kb=ww_english_add,VARSET=ws:http://us.creative.com/

Sounds like it may be the index in your Music Library. Try going into Recovery Mode; remove battery, hold power switch to ON, replace battery, release power switch when the Recovery Mode screen appears on the screen. Run Option 1 CleanUP, after it completes run Option 4 Restart. You will get a Rebuilding Library screen when it reboots, that's normal, then it should go back to your startup screen. Good luck and let us know what happened
