Question about Car Audio & Video

PLCDCS90 Casette/cd I did notice there is a conflict between the diagram on the back of the unit and the trouble shooting tips in the manual. The manual says the player uses a 15A fuse, while the diagram (also shown in your post) says to use a 10A fuse. Thought that was a little weird. So you think maybe it should be a 15A?

I have a manual, but not in front of me. I specifically remember it saying to replace the 15A fuse if there is no power.
However, the fuse filter shows there is a .5A and a 10A fuse. Filaments are both intact, and I've even tried new fuses.
    Is there a 15A internal
fuse or is something? If not, they've mislabeled the diagram shown on
the head unit. Same diagram as the one you posted earlier.

I tried a new 15A fuse. (fit perfectly) Also tried a new 10A as well, with no success. I also connected the power directly to the battery terminal, just in case my wire harness adapter is bad. Still no juice.
    Any other ideas?

Replacing the Eurovox cd player/radio in my VU Holden ute with a Pioneer head unit. Is there a wiring diagram available to match up the wires

Do you have a wiring diagram for the Pioneer Unit, or is this the one you want the diagram for ? Get back to me with a bit more details, e.g. have you got a diagram for the Eurovox? Have you pulled out the Eurovox yet? (I hope not ).

Kenwood KDC-W5534U i keep losing the display any help would be appreciated thanks.

I have seen this problem many times and it is an easy fix if you know how to solder.

There are a series of suface mount resistors on the main board that are in the front right near the side, as you look into the radio with the top off and the radio facing you.

Let me know if you want to do this yourself and if so, I will post a diagram of the board and and point out just what resistors need to be resoldered.

I am certain that this is ther fix, I repair them for a living and have done many of these myself.

My passenger side speaker does not work and i was trying to find the wiring diagram so i could trace the wires bk and c if i can sort the problem

I would gain access to your speaker, and check the connection there. If that is alright, I would just run new speaker wire to your head unit. Then there is no confusion about a bad connection, so you can trouble shoot if it is your speaker or head unit that is bad.

Face plate wont light up but it will play cd

Remove the face plate- you have not mentioned the make/model. Now use a brush to clean the contacts of the face plate and the head unit. If you notice any dirt use some methyl spirit to clean.
If possible measure the voltage at the terminals- also for more probe the unit must be removed and the voltage traced as this can be failure of the display unit, the display unit driver/.processor.

My in-car cdc will not eject the cartridge?.

Press the eject button several times non stop.Like 10 to 15 times non stop and see,if the cartridge is getting ejected out.If its still stuck, then disconnect the car battery negative terminal for 15 minutes then reconnect the negative terminal and heck.If still the cartridge is stuck, then its problem with internal mechanism. You will have to disassemble the unit and manually eject the cartridge out and lubricate internal mechanism.-------------- Unplug the changer and use a flat metal ruler. And slide it alongside the cartridge. try sliding on both sides. You'll eventually trigger the manual switch and it'll pop out.Bif that is also not helping then:--- solution is to disassemble the CD changer and lubricating the mechanisms inside. This is the most common problem with CD changers. Take the unit out of car and try to release disc manually.Take the screws out on both sides of player then remove case . You will be able to manually push the big gear so that the disc goes back into the cartridge. And then it slides out. After that you lube all moving parts with a teflon grease and some parts with silicon spray. This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Hi just looking for Radio wiring diagram so i can hook up new cd player myself.

HI All vehicle brands have different wiring, as do different models. If you list what vehicle you have I should be able to give you a specific wiring diagram. The new source unit that you have, should either have a diagram for its wires on the top of the unit or in the units instruction manual.
Im sorry for not being able to help more but there is no generic vehicle wiring diagram

I have a 95 mercury cougar i know how to take the factory casette player out and have a sony xplode to go in it with wires sticking out the back and a box around the cd player what do i need in order to...

Do you have the wiring adapter so you don't have to cut the wires? Or do you need the factory wiring diagram?

Do you have the mounting kit? That would make it easiest.

Otherwise wire it up, stick it in the slot, bend all the metal tabs so it secures the deck in place, put the trim plate/panel back on after everything is securely in place.
