Cant delete leters quickly

If you are like me when you hold a key down you want the repeat rate to be as quick as possible. I hate holding down the left arrow to scroll to the end of a line and watching the cursor run like a slug across the screen. You can alter the keyboard repeat rate in the Control Panel for the Keyboard but unfortunately the control panel will only let you alter the speed to a maximum of setting of 30. This is way too slow for me and probably most of you as well. If you have read this far you are probably by now wondering if there is anything you can do about it, well there is read on! Backup your registry and open up reg edit: TYPE REG EDIT INTO RUN BOX
  • Open up the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Keyboard Section of the registry.
  • Double click on the KeyboardSpeed Value in the right hand panel.
  • Change the value to something respectable like 80
  • Click OK
  • Close RegEdit
Now goto your favourite program

My backspace only deletes one leter at a time

of course your backspace button only deletes one letter unless you press the backspace button for a long time and it still deletes one letter. There is something wrong with your keyboard.

My backspace only deletes one leter at a time

So does mine....if you want to delete entire sentences or paragraphs, click and hold your mouse left button and slide the cursor across what you want to delete...when it is highlighted, either just type over it or hit the delete key.

1. Actually this is not your system's problem!

2. This problem is due to the busy Yahoo! Mail server.

3. You should try to Refresh / Reload the page to prevent this problem!

try turning off filter keys. if you don't know how to do this, go under control panel, click on the search bar if you have vista, just type in "repeat" and click on the filter-keys link. then uncheck the "turn on filterkeys" box and click apply at the bottom. best of luck.
