Hello,
Access the main menu of your satellite by pressing Menu on your satellite remote.

Step 2
Click on System Setup.

Step 3
Arrow down, and click on Local Channels.

Step 4
Scan for local channels, like your local NBC, ABC, CBS, PBS and FOX affiliates, by pressing the Scan button. Wait for the scan to complete before you continue.

Step 5
Check your on-screen guide to see if your local channels properly display. Note: You will only receive information about the programs if you subscribe to local channels as part of your programming package. However, the channel name and number will still display in your on-screen guide if the scan was successful. If the scan was not successful, try adjusting your antenna to see if you can receive a better signal.

Also note that

Step 1
Press Guide on your satellite remote to see a listing of channels.

Step 2
Click on the channel you want to add, or type in the channel number if you know what it is.

Step 3
Use your remote to navigate the purchasing options for that channel. A pop-up will appear telling you to push OK if you want to subscribe to that channel. If you opt to subscribe to that channel, your satellite receiver will automatically add it to your programming package, and it will appear on your next satellite bill.

Hope you find this helpful, Good luck....

I can not record from the pc screen on tv to vhs i can the normal channels but not the pc screen why?

If you have "Cable or Satelitte" your VCR may be hooked to a secondary output from that box not the output of the TV, most TV's do not have an Audio and Video output. This would be one reason why you could not record a PC input

Having trouble with direct connection from VTM190A VHS to an old RCA TV- have red cable to red and yellow to yellow and both units reading channel 4, but still only static. Obviously don't have something...

Channel four on the television wouldn't be correct when hooking up with the yellow red and white RCA cable. The television should be on video/aux/input etc. You should see a button for you to do that on the tv, on the tvs remote control, or within the tvs menu.

I have a 2008 Dodge Ram with Sirous Satelitte built into the radio. It's locked up and will only show channel 184 and not play anything. I disconnected the battery and that did't correct anything. Any...

I have the exact same issue on my 08 Ram 1500. It even shows the same channel 184. Of course, it's warranty just expired at 39000 miles. I took it to the dealer anyway, and to quote the service tech "it points to the satellite module". Key word is points. A new module (the receiver) is $313 plus the $79 labor fee. WhenI asked if the new module did not fix the problem, if I would get a refund on the $313, he just kind of looked at me and eventually said no. I am looking for other solutions....

Not able to get digital channels

A lot of "digital LCD TVs did not have a digital tuner. All you can do is channel up and down through the normal analog channels. You may still have to get a convertor box or subscribe to a cable or satelitte service.

Check the Find Manuals link below on fixya.com or if you can't find your model, you can also check www.retrevo.com for owners manuals and specs.

I have the tv and i have the cable channels but they r fuzzy

Do you have a vcr/dvd player connected to this tv? Make sure it is off. Do you have a cable box? Make sure your TV is on channel 3 or 4 and the same for the cable/satelitte box. Make sure you have good grounds on your cables and rca jacks. Should be easy to correct this.

I can't hook up the vcr

I would strongly suggest connecting a plain, coaxial cable wire from your sat box to the the ANT IN of the VCR. then use another coaxial to run from the ANT OUT of the VCR to the TV. Then you can change your TV to channel 3 or 4 as appropriate.

If you have a newer digital satellite receiver, this setup may not work. In that case, use two sets of red/white/yellow cables - 1 set will run from the out of the satellite receiver to the audio, video IN of the VCR. The second set will run from the audio and video OUT of the VCR to your TV. Then change your television to Aux 1, aux2 or whatever channel that corresponds to the red/white yellow.

Have fun!

Programming panasonic vcr

First, check in the VCR setup and see if it set for cable or off-air/broadcast/antenna (not always named the same).  If it is set for off-air... then it won't tune cable channels beyond 13.  It must be set for cable mode in order to tune those upper channels (mid-band, superband etc.).

I assume you have the VCR hooked up correctly- cable into VCR antenna/RF input, VCR RF/to TV output to the RF/Ant input of the TV.
