When I plug in my Logitech USB headphones, the blue light turns on and then back off after a second or two. A popup error messages tells me that the device has malfunctioned. Why? I need a better fix than that other guy is giving. >_<

No it's NOT a problem with your mainboard nor your USB it's the headphones that are ****! I am a tech, bought the Logitech headphones same problem... I try them on 3 different laptops and 2 other PC's and the problem follows the head phones... Simple solution... Don't buy Logitech. That's how I solved my problem. :o)

When I plug the headset into the USB the PC is not hearing sound through the microphone.

You have to make sure it is not muted. Some logitech headsets have a mute button for the mic on the cord e.g. the logitech comfort usb blinks when it is muted. Make sure it is not muted in windows also. Go to your sound
> click recording devices
> click the logitech one
> set default
> click properties
> levels (make sure the michophone is not muted and 100).

Also make sure it is the set microphone in the program you are using and not muted.

Good luck.

Damaged USB plug on Logitech headphones

It may be cheaper to buy another one depending on how much the bench fee is your local shop. Phone first and ask them how much they would charge. Tell them the specific problem. Hope this helps.

Why wont my clearchat usb headset work with windos 7

Windows 7 hasn't been released yet so you must be using the free pre-release candidate which was made available to the public in order to establish what further work would n=be needed before final release and to get a clearer idea of what equipment may have problems with it.

This version of Windows 7 is completely unsupported and hardware drivers for it have not yet been posted by hardware manufacturers. Contact Logitech directly to find out if and when they'll be releasing a Windows 7 driver for your product.

My Logitech headphones mic won´t work with windows xp. Can hear, don´t hear me.

Your headphone mic is all right. The problem is with the sound driver you are using. Many a time the headphone jack are not properly connected so it may be another issue for not working of your headphone. Your operating system is all right check out the sound driver setting from the control panel.
Good Luck
