Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
It might be overheated so what you can try to do is get a can of compressed air and spray along the vents and the inside of the console make sure that when you spray it that you hold the can upright and at least 2 inches away from the console
hope that i could help!

Im having the same problem myself, if the air does not work you might have to do a complete teardown of the Ps3, re-thermal paste the heat sink, and clean all the components. If it got hot enough and bumped, you might have disloged the heatsink as was my problem.. although it voids any warantee, however, mine is expired and dont want to pay the $150 bill from sony.
