Question about Samsung LA40R81BDX 40 in. LCD TV
The TV does not switch on and keeps repeating two distinct clicking sounds successively one slightly muffled followed by sharper one. They keep alternating. I did not leave it on for a long time for the fear of damaging the set. This happened while I was watching the TV and struggling with the music system connected to the TV where one of the CD was malfunctioning. Can there be a connection to these events? What can be the remedy
This is caused by a capacitor issue on the PSU Board. its a well known fault. google samsung clicking. call samsung and they should repair it out of warranty free of charge. 0330 7267864

Nothing to do with connecting the TV to the stereo, more likely you are having power supply failing, the clicking sound is from power relay, the power supply may have unstable DC due to bad DC filter caps, bad solder joints or loose connections.
