I put the fuse back in because it is not blown. Then tried turning it on. Is what i meant to say. Can the main power supply box go bad without the fuse?

If receiver goes back to standby itself then it got some problem in amplifier output section and goes to standby due to activation of protection system.
Amplifier output section need to be checked for shorted out components.

If receiver does not go to standby but wont power up that means some problem with main power supply section and fuses on main power supply need to be checked.

Local tech will help you to fix the receiver if you have no experience of electronics stuff repair.
Thanks.

I took the fuse out and tried to turn it on also and it did the same thing. makes a click noise no lights nothing comes on. the only time it will try to turn on is after i unplug it from the wall and the above happens again (click noise and nothing)

Fuse should not be took out from power supply, just check them and replace blown fuse with good one so main power supply may provide voltage to other circuits in receiver to turn it On.
If fuse blow off again that means some thing got shorted out in that section and need to be checked with help of related schematics and multimeter.

If fuse took out from power supply that means it is now disconnected/ isolated from other circuits of unit that are suppose to get power from power supply. If fuse are OK but receiver still does not power up then regulator chip in sub power supply section might be defective and causing that symptoms.
Schematics are needed to check voltage supplies in receiver to find out what is missing that is preventing receiver to turns ON.
    Thanks.

I hit power button then start start light flashes and wont start

If your start button is flashing even when you hit your start button . Your electronic touch control board (ETC) is not working correctly . Either the intergrated curcuit board is not responding or the actuator on touch panel is broken . Push start button in and see if the button makes a clicking noise. If it does replace curcuit board , if it does't replace the part where you touch.

It's possible that the convergence IC's may be bad in this set along with a few resistors. A TV repair shop should be able to fix the set for you.
