From all the info I can gather, the blinking light indicates the DM won't boot up. I have pulled the board out and visually checked the capacitors. They all look normal, ie no bulging. I also found while I was tinkering around that the wall plug had a lose fit to the plug which made a intermittent connection at times. Maybe this is the cause of my problem. Anyway, is there a way to check the capacitors prior to removing them? Continuity?
Thanks for the help all. The green led blinks continuously and the TV will not turn on. I will change the capacitors and let you know the results. StevoThanks for the help all. Hi, The header shown to me says green indicator flashing. Fast green blinking is: starting up (will do this for about 1 minute). Slower green blink is cooling down, also 1 minute. Then it should work. Any questions or clarifications..let me know. As for capacitors, they fail as a short or open..just keep in mind that other components will modify the reading.
Yes !! your gonna need a MULTIMETER set to CAPACITANCE to measure it . I also suggest to check for any DRY SOLDER around the power supply & check the CONVERGENCE IC , I believe part num starts with STK and numbers. just throwing in some additional info , hope it helps

Green blinking light of death on Mitsubishi DLP TV means that the DM failed to booted up. I would advice you to replaced the 7 1000uf electrolytic capacitor on the DM board. Most of the time it fixed the symptoms. Please inquire at tvrepairworld.com if they have an available DM repair kit for V36 chassis (WD-57733 chassis).
If your Mitsubishi WD-62725 Rear Projection TV is stuck to green blinking LED light of death, then this is an indication that the DM hasn't booted up. There's a repair kit for this kind of symptoms. It includes parts that are known to be faulty, detailed instructions that will guide you how to do the repair. Click it HERE for the repair kit's link.
Your TV is a V26 chassis. When you are on the link, you can see 2 version of V26 DLP DM repair kit. One is an upgraded version of the capacitor and the other one is the original capacitance and voltage in radial packaged. Its up to you to decide whether you will go upgrade or not.
Hi, If when you turn on your TV all you get is a blinking green light, you can find a lot of posts about this problem. It usually is caused by bad capacitors in the DM board. If you are handy and not afraid of pulling the DM board desoldering old capacitors and resoldering in new capacitors, this could be done for around $20 - $30. You can look up Mitsubishi blinking green light or follow this link which gives a good discription of the process.
If you only changed 4 caps,1000 ucfd 35v, it should be 5, if you did not remove the little plug in board, e prom, you may have damaged that. B-4/after changing caps what is the indicator light, green, doing?
You can go to this link they have the kits with the high temp higher volt capacitors and complete detailed instructions on how to do the repair. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
the PWB , FMT and DM boards all have capacitor issuses with that chassis. If the power light is blinking there are 4 1000uf capacitors on the DM that need replacing. If you need more info let me know.
The set is trying to tell you somthing by blinking this light. And the bad news is that it's sayiny the DM board is not booting up, there are several problems that might cuase this all from bad capacitors to a shorted diode or a compleatly replacing the DM board. but all these are not for the weakend tv tech this one has to go into the shop
