Question about Aiwa AV-D97 Receiver
Front big display of receiver goes dim and so can't read display properly. I believe it's backlight has faded too much. Even though backlight dimmer setting is not set, hardly can see anything on the display, if you come nearer, you can read with little brightness, but from far it's all dark. Can't makeout anything.
I believe this is most likely due to incorrect voltages at the display. If you have a meter and are familiar with working on electronics, check the voltage at pin 3 of cn501. It should be -28.5. If the voltage is very low, try changing C123 and C124 in the power supply. If the voltage is ok, check R925 and R932, these are both 10 ohm 1/8th watt.
