Question about Canon PowerShot A300 Digital Camera
I have a Canon Powershot A300. I cannot view anything through the display window. It's black. I have changed the batteries and it still doesn't work. Could it be a memory card issue? The camera only turns on when I take the memory card out. Please help if you can.
This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:
