Could be fuel vaporising.... re rout the fuel line away from heat sources this may help or the fuel is not getting to the carby fast enough....check fuel filter and lines for cleanness .

Run your mower again and when it starts to run rough, loosen your gas cap. If it runs right again, you have a stopped up gas tank vent. clean it or replace the cap. Could be a bad coil too. I hope I've helped! Thank you! Dane
