Question about Garmin nuvi 250W GPS Receiver

1. Check that the volume has not been muted by touching the speaker symbol on the main screen. If mute is ticked touch it to unselect it.
2. If this is not the problem on the main screen touch tools, then settings, then language and select a voice. If you didn't download extra voices there's probably only one there.
3. If that doesn't solve the problem the voice file may be corrupted and need to be downloaded again. Connect your Satnav to the pc. Go to http://www8.garmin.com/products/webupdater/howtoinstall.jsp and download the latest version of webupdater. After the software is updated click next, Tick the voices you want to select them, Tick next and then Finish. This will download the voices selected to your Satnav. You will have to repeat para 2 above to select the voice you want. You can experiment and try out different voices to see which you prefer.
