Im at a complete loss with my dryer. It runs but doesnt heat

Im at a complete loss with my dryer. It runs but does not get heat. I have redid the wire from the breaker to the outlet. Replaced the outlet and breaker. I have tested every component in the dryer. Everything has continuity . bought a new dryer hooked it up and it doesn’t heat either. Tested everything on it and its all fine. I replaced the wire with 10/3. Am I missing something? Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Check the 230v very carefully You may be hooking it up even with new wire just like the old. You have to have across the line 230
not just 230. Sounds like you need to have an electrician to check
230 across the line at the wall.
Let me know.

Kenmore 110680020110 electric dryer, lint screen in front door, will not heat. I have replaced the thermal fuse and thermistor fuse. The heating element, thermostat and thermo cut-off all have continuity....

Make sure there is 220v going to dryer. Turn breaker for dryer completely off then back on. The heat circuit also runs through the timer and the motor.

Dryer no longer hot

Could be the element, thermal overload, loss of one leg of the AC supply, a burned off wire or timer. Do you have fuses or circuit breakers? If you have breakers reset the breaker and see if the heat works. If you have fuses check each with an ohm meter. One leg of the 110VAC will run the motor but you need 220VAC to make the element heat. (that is if this is a 220VAC dryer).

My dryer will runs but doesnt get hot? Heating element?? I cant afford to have it repaired and would like to do it myself,

I have a temp fix. Make sure you use copper wire. Take the heating element out. Then look for the place that burned into.. Twist you copper wire tight around each side to make a complete connections. Make sure the copper wire is thick enough too. I had done this several times to buy me time to save up some money to buy a new element. Hope this helps

Crosley dryer not getting hot

Most likely a heating element or blower assembly concern. The only true way to know is to have a full diagnosis completed on the unit.

Dryer runs but doesnt heat up

On a Whirlpool, it has been for me the coils are broken...it can be fixed by undoing the belt, 'popping' the top pnl up with a screwdriver, lean the front pnl down then move the drum forward to get to the coils. You MUST use a crimp type connector as these are nickle wire and won't solder easily. Saves a lot of money and will run forever. Definitly unplug it first! Duh!

Whirlpool dryer WED5530SQ0, heats but does not run

So,. basically your drum doesnt turn. SO your getting heat still even though the drum isnt turning. Is this right? Sounds strange??? Do you hear any humming noise when you push the start button? I need to know a little more about the problem because im kinda confused as how you decribed the problem. Iv never seen a dryer heat but the drum not spinning. especially your model dryer. Its electric heat right? because if the drum doesnt spin, maybe your motor is bad. and if your motor is bad, then your heating element wont heat up because the centrifical switch in the motor is not switching to complete the circuit to the heating element. So this is why im confused when you said" Dryer heats when knob turned but when "push button" pressed, drum doesnt run." Because your belt wraps around the motor pully and the motor is what makes the drum turn. Like i said, i never seen this model dryer heat with out the motor operating. So if you can give me some more info, ill do my best to help you out....Thanks!!!!

Will not heat

You need to make sure that you are getting 220 volts into the machine. First check and make sure that your outlet has 220. Then after you have done that make sure that you have 220v going to the dryer. If after you have done this also make sure that all of your wires are on, on the parts that you have changed
