By what you have posted it seems as if your computer won't power on at all even when the cord is plugged in. You also tried it with a new power cord. If that didn't solve the issue then your motherboard has gone bad. I'm guessing your computer is still under warranty since they sent you a new AC adapter. Tell them that the motherboard needs to be replaced and send it out to them.
